About This Codex

If you’re looking for an About page that explains who I am, this will do for now. Hopefully it will become clear that this entire site, itself, is a sort of About page. It’s hard to really condense who a person is in just one document. All the common curriculum vitae labels can be too low-resolution to be meaningful, so I’ll start here.

This site is not necessarily a blog.

What you’re looking at is a Personal Codex. A place to map out my thinking, trace its foundations, and build coherence over time. It’s a tool for clarity, not performance. A reference system. A memory scaffold. A space to externalize insight and track the evolution of my worldview with intention.

I’m not here to entertain or persuade. I’m not speaking on behalf of any group. This Codex is written from the standpoint of one individual, thinking in public, and thinking seriously. It exists so that I don’t forget what I’ve already built. It exists to anchor future thought. And eventually, it exists to be shared with collaborators, AI interlocutors, or my children.

The process is iterative. Ideas emerge, get tested, rewritten, restructured. Some survive. Some get absorbed. Others get left behind, but never lost. I’m building an internal logic that compounds over time, across domains, and through dialogue.

This Codex stands in continuity with Vannevar Bush’s 1945 vision of the Memex, a device for tracing ideas through associative links, forming an external memory of thought. What once was mechanical is now conceptual: a structure for connecting insight across time, allowing reflection itself to leave a navigable trail.

I use AI in this process to interrogate form, context, and the relationships between concepts. I’ve found it extremely useful when exploring the abstract mechanics of thought and the breadth of existing human articulation. It’s fashionable in some circles to dismiss generative art and LLMs as slop regurgitators. That critique holds to a large extent, but only when AI is used in a low-effort way. The tools aren’t the focus for me. The exploration is. This is an exploration of self, of world, and how they relate.

My particular perspective, tastes, and personal motivations are always consciously behind everything I do. If something here resonates with you, that’s incidental, albeit welcome! But the point isn’t necessarily resonance with others. The point is a deeper fidelity and authenticity. This is all part of the process of building my own capacities and finding my own voice. Something every individual should work toward.

Welcome to my Codex.
